Measure Your Ring Size at Home
No tools? No problem. You can find your ring size in just a few minutes, right where you are.
Here’s how to do it step-by-step:
- Get a strip of paper
Cut a thin strip that can comfortably wrap around your finger.
- Wrap it around your finger
Place the strip around the finger you’ll wear your ring on. It should feel snug, but not tight, just like the ring itself should.
- Mark the spot
Where the paper overlaps, make a small mark.
- Measure the length
Lay the strip flat and measure the distance from the edge to your mark. That’s your finger’s circumference.
- Find your size
Use our Ring Size Conversion Chart to match your measurement to the right size.
And you’re done. A perfect fit, made easy.
Good to Know Before You Measure
Finding the right fit is all about the little details. Here are a few things to keep in mind before choosing your size:
- Timing matters. Your fingers can change size throughout the day. They tend to shrink in the cold and swell in the heat, so it’s best to measure when your hands are warm, ideally at the end of the day.
- Measure more than once to make sure you’re getting the most accurate fit.
- Always measure the finger that’ll wear the ring. Your dominant hand is usually slightly larger, so always measure the exact finger the ring is for.
- If you have larger knuckles, try measuring both your knuckle and where the ring will sit. A size in between usually gives the best balance of comfort and ease.
- Wider bands feel snugger. For styles with a wider band, consider going up half a size.
- Between two sizes? When in doubt, the larger size is usually the safer choice.
Ring Sizing FAQs
What if I get the size wrong?
No worries, it happens! If your piece just isn’t the right fit, you’ve got 30 days to return it for a full refund.
What actually happens during resizing?
A small bit of metal is either added or removed to adjust the size. It might make the band slightly thicker or thinner, but it’s nothing you’ll notice. Once it’s resized, it’s cleaned and polished so it comes back looking as beautiful as ever.
Can every ring be resized?
Almost all of them can. The only exception is eternity rings, since their stones go all the way around. If you’re unsure about your design, just get in touch. We’ll happily check for you.
What if I’m between two sizes?
We’ve got half and quarter sizes, so you’ll likely find something that fits just right. Still not sure? Going with the larger size is usually the safer choice, especially if your ring has a wider band.
What does “comfort fit” mean?
All Seredra rings are designed with comfort fit, which means the inside of the band is slightly rounded to glide over your knuckle more easily and sit more naturally. It’s one of those subtle touches that’ll make the ring feel more comfortable to wear all day.
